A superhero of modern Russian drama scene, Grishkovets could have peacefully rested on his theatrical laurels but he decided to give musical destination a stab instead. He'd recorded an album and played a number of shows which turned to be a success with public and Grishkovets decided to carry on with the project. This decision has resulted in a new record and a new gig concept abundant with guitars and true rock'n'roll spirit. Evegenij's voice not being able to spit a single 'musical' note, the project was coyly entitled 'Sing'. In spite of the fact that there wasn't much singing at Tinkoff restaurant show the public was genuinely convinced in Grishkovets' ability to put on a tremendously successful gig.

Those who had been happy to experience Zuco 103's music later described it as elegant, stylish and life-assuring. Musically Zuco 103 is a mixture of bossa nova rhythms and danceable acid jazz. The permanent line up consists of keyboard player and programming guru Stefan Schmid, vocalist Lilian Vieira and drummer/ programmer Stefan Kruger. When playing live the trio is joined by Lesley Kuhr on bass, Claus Tofft on percussion and a guitar player Alvin Lewis. Gently combining folk patterns and modern club beats the musicians skillfully put on a marvelous show. Vier's vocals ranging from 'funky' on prime club tracks to 'sexy' on Latino numbers, the band manages set fire to the dance floor no matter what style it is they are playing now.

Cobra Killer is an insane sexy-S&M-serf electroclash duo of Gina D'Orio and Annika Trost. The show was a climax to Halloween party with Jean and Annika trying on doctors' masks and rubber gloves, throwing them to the audience, spinning hula-hoops and climbing the speakers, drinking red wine from a bottle, pouring it on TV crew and themselves and stage-diving. The last song saw them come off the stage to get a closer feel of the audience and then dancing and snogging with ecstatic punters.

Queen of Japan is a shocking glamorous beast of a trio. Koneko furiously dancing to hardcore techno beats, Jo Aschito providing analogue singing and Jason Arigato turned out to be a really tight unit. Former Queen fans they have become a band covering rock'n'roll and pop hits as well as performing their own hardcore techno tracks. The singer's bright red dress and her fellow musician's glittering outfits (one of them cross-dressed) got everybody's attention at once. People who came to the launch party of a new posh restaurant would hardly even listen to, let alone dance to 'I Love Rock'n'Roll' or 'We will rock you', but Queen of Japan effortlessly turned legendary hard-rock classics and bubble-gum pop into modern age disco stompers.

Tens of albums, hundreds of live recordings, numerous videos and countless exhibitions, art-installations, volumes worth of poetry and philosophic … are what Psychic TV responsible for. Their show in Saint-Petersburg was a part of the world tour promoting their new PTV3 project. Genesis P-Orridge the founder and front man of the band confronted astounded punters with his new trans-sexual look. The performance itself was an amazing experience and was accompanied by a video mix of abstract images and footage of P-Orridge's trans-sexual operation. The musicians themselves were so happy with the gig that even after a few encores they said they only left stage not to miss the train.

Jay Jay Johanson is one of the most amazing artists to emerge from Sweden. His production, song-writing, singing and DJ skills, with a back-catalogue of four albums ('Whisky', 'Tattoo', 'Poison' and 'Antenna'), have granted him a worldwide recognition, which could be compared to Abba's. His first performance at Stereoleto 2003 festival had truly astonishing impact on the festival crowd with tracks off 'Antenna' album. 'So Tell the Girls That I'm Back in Town' literally got the audience in a sort of a trance. At the age of 16 Ashley Slater moved from The USA to Britain. For six years he had been playing trombone in a military orchestra before becoming a session musician in different European jazz projects. Having fallen in love with funk, Ashley put together his first band Microgroove where he successfully established himself as a front man and a singer. Next came Freak Power project where Ashley was collaborating with Norman Cook before his Fatboy Slim period. When Freak Power had finally split up Ashley worked for a while as a session musician and a video director, before releasing his solo effort 'Big Lounge'. Following Ashley's masterplan to the dot, his jazzy funk music can both get an easy grip on the music lover's attention and serve as nice background music for different people eating, drinking and talking as it was in FC Lounge club.

Simon Greene's highly-intellectual Bonobo project made a Brighton musician known as a 'king of chill-out and a pioneer of new down-tempo'. Warmed up with French sixties films and polished with experimental jazz, Bonobo sounds surprisingly soft with its steady beats. DJ Fetish, the creator of Terranova project, has remixed a great deal of records and performed with a diverse range of artists as a guest DJ. The audience in Saint-Petersburg was won over with the first sounds of the duo.

A half of Everything But The Girl duo, Ben Watt has sold about 9 million records, but in the course of the last 5 years has morphed career-wise to become a successful club DJ. Running his own label Buzzin' Fly Records he couldn't help but to start remixing and promoting as well. Watt's set in Saint-Petersburg didn't only make people dance but also touched the audience with a deeply emotional side of his music via remixes of Sade, Sunshine Anderson, Maxwell and Ananda Project records which all had previously enjoyed club and chart success in Britain. When he is not playing bass with a Belgian art-rock band dEUS Danny Mommens and his girlfriend Els Pynnoo of Chicks on Speed together with ex-Talking Heads musicians are storming Europe. John Peel of BBC Radio One playing their records and raving reviews in NME, Wire and Uncut helped them to become an haute couture act. Listing Carl Lagerfeld among their fans, Viva la Fete are regulars at fashion shows and parties. Their Stereoleto 2004 performance has been admitted the most energetic show of the year. Els dressed in glittering dress and a Russian fur hat provided hysteric yet erotic vocals and the show reached its climax when Danny dragged two girls from the audience onstage and gave them guitars to bang through the last song of their set.
