On the 23rd of February with the support of the French premium beer Kronenbourg 1664 the first winter event within the STEREOLETO festival was carried out. Towards the 8 p.m. Manege Kadetskogo korpusa was full with musical sybarites, expecting the show of Red Snapper, the legendary English collective. Early in the guests of the event took the opportunity to listen tot the new, but already popular St. Petersburg band with continually changing number of participants — Uniquetunes. Right after them already warmed up public got another forcefull heat stroke coming from the exhilarating experimentalists in music Pepe Deluxe. The official ceremony of the opening of the representative office of the KIT Finance Investment Bank in London was rendered on the 28th of February. The event took place in the restaurant on the 5th floor of the famous London Tate Modern museum, in order of importance comparable to the Museum of Modern Art in New York or The Centre Pompidou in Paris. Nouvelle Vague on stage means a genuine art of performance, the weapon of the singing nymphs is not only voice, but plastique as well. Absolutely everything is applied – beginning with fingertips and ending with the hair ends. The songs are not being sung but, featured. This is the show in the proper sense of it. And as a result the group is on tour, playing one in three of the days. Concerning such solid engrossment, to see them in St. Petersburg, thereto with an interval of just six months, is a huge piece of luck. And what is more, they yeasay to play in A2 their latest music, prepared for the new album recording!

On the 23rd of April in Manege Kadetskogo korpusa appeared the “Founding Fathers” of the industrial, the legendary German group “Einsturzende Neubauten”. They are still in the forefront of modern alternative. Twenty years have already elapsed since they discovered a new musical trend, but today they are not going to wind down or rest on oars. In St. Petersburg the “Autolytic new buildings” delivered their new album “Alles wieder offen”, astounding with alien to the group sound of balanced and soft noise-pop.

On the 26th of April in the “Place” club the Light Music company rendered the first St. Petersburg performance of Piotr Nalich. Boris Barabanov in his article, published in “Kommersant” journal has given to Nalitch the name of “the first Russian singing internet-phenomenon” and was basically right: the popularity came to the musician after the DIY video “Gitar”. The original case history of the artist could serve to illustrate Bodriyard and Derrida: only in post-modernism it’s possible, that a virtual internet man, using an amateur camera and capturing. on video the singing in grotesquely pigeon English, becomes famous in real life.
