Queen of Japan is a shocking glamorous beast of a trio. Koneko furiously dancing to hardcore techno beats, Jo Aschito providing analogue singing and Jason Arigato turned out to be a really tight unit. Former Queen fans they have become a band covering rock'n'roll and pop hits as well as performing their own hardcore techno tracks. The singer's bright red dress and her fellow musician's glittering outfits (one of them cross-dressed) got everybody's attention at once. People who came to the launch party of a new posh restaurant would hardly even listen to, let alone dance to 'I Love Rock'n'Roll' or 'We will rock you', but Queen of Japan effortlessly turned legendary hard-rock classics and bubble-gum pop into modern age disco stompers.
