Page 1 of 3 On the 22nd of August in St. Petersburg a gloomy hero of trip-hop, Edrian Tous, alias Tricky Kid, by now just Tricky, appeared. He brought to Petersburg his first for the past five years album Knowle West Boy. The red walls of the former factory excellently fit for the concert of this Bristolian guy from the rough part of town, and each brick imbibed the aggressive and rough notes, showing through his songs. The vitality and briskness of the athletic and lean man on stage, swinging dreadlocks and either conjuring or singing to microphone, was imparted to the waggling in tact audience and drew the clerks of the business centre towards the windows.
Somebody was worried for Tricky would pass the whole concert, as during his last visit, showing his back to the audience and disdainfully breathing out the smoke. But on the 22nd of August the musician declared himself in his full sparkish rage, headily moving on stage and managing his band as a true batonist, except for wearing the lowered pants instead of smoking. He wasn’t singing solo, but rather exchanging the voice parts with a dashing singer Kira from Denmark. When the show was over and all of a sudden it turned out to be already dark and cold, many people were nothing doing to channel off, and they were
repaid with the autograph outgiving and a photosession with the legend, who came down after the show to meet his most faithful fans.
