Page 1 of 3 LADYTRON is not only the symbol of globalism, according to Wikipedia, but the symbol of the nowaday synthy-pop as well. The identity of Ladytron is made of tender vocals against the impassible synthy-electronics and of guitar parts, adding rock liveliness, but allowing to keep distance from the open-ended army of indie-rockers.
Elegant and dapper, participants of the band still incomparably operate their guitars and analogue vintage synthesizers, sing in English and Bulgarian and now are going on a second world tour, within which they are to drop in St. Petersburg. It ‘s expected to hear at their concert the tracks from the new album of the 2008, «Velocifero», the fourth in succession, proposing an ideal balance between serious guitar sound, sex and allure.
The special guest of the event is the St. Petersburg group Gender ID.
Gender ID offers hope for Russia will have her own MGMT and Justice.
Over a period of three years of being, guys produced five releases, managed to be spottled within several popular musical festivals, particularly in 2006 – within the best St.Petersburg festival “Stereoleto”, sharing one stage with Sparks and Electronicat. According to FullDozer portal, Gender ID are the winners in two nominations: "The breakthrough of the 2006" and "The best live-band of the 2006". In 2008 Gender ID played two full of drive concerts with Alpinestars and White Rose Movement, and now they’re preparing to warm up Ladytron in Moscow and St.Petersburg.
